Have Not Felt That Comfortable With How I Looked Since Childhood.  [Wedding Hair & Makeup]

Right from the first phone call to enquire I knew that I could work with Ema. She was friendly and open but what struck me was that she could listen to the ideas I had and then use her vast knowledge to try and make that happen rather than deciding for me how it should be done. She suggested starting Pinterest boards of styles I liked so she could get to know me and what I liked. In this way, she managed to make the most beautiful custom hair piece for me. I absolutely love it, as did my husband. It was totally me! During the practise session, we tried a couple of hair styles as I wasn't sure about having my hair down (having initially wanted that). She didn't mind. What was lovely with the makeup was that Ema applied it based on the images I had shown her then we tweaked it to include things like the style of the eyeliner I would ordinarily wear. So, on the day I still looked like me but on a very, very, very good day! On the wedding day, I felt amazing when I looked into the mirror. I have not felt that comfortable with how I looked since childhood and this had a huge bearing on my day and how confident I felt and how I could just enjoy what was going on around me. She is truly a magician! And a thoughtful one at that. She helped me get ready, sorting my petticoat and doing my shoes up. We even returned that evening to a tidy room where she had straightened up for us before she had left. A friend had recommended Ema to me but what a find! I wholeheartedly recommend her for her professionalism and skills but also because of the personality she is. Thank you Ema!

I booked Ema to do my daughter's hair and make-up for her prom.  My daughter has very thick, heavy hair and Ema created an absolutely magical effect.  Her make-up was gorgeous, and my daughter loved it, which was no mean feat as she knows what she likes(!) and doesn't tend to wear much makeup day to day. While being extremely professional, the whole experience was fun and Ema went out of her way to make my daughter feel at ease.  I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Ema to work her magic on you for a prom, wedding, or any other occasion where you want to feel a million dollars and look it too.

I could not have asked for a better make-up artist and hair stylist for my wedding!!  Ema has the ability to read your personality, listen to your ideas and then translate it all into perfection!  She doesn’t just do what you ask, she advises on how to achieve it in the best possible way, so it complements you, enhancing your best features and turning you into a dream bride.  On the day she took charge but in a very calm, professional way, guiding everyone in the right direction in order for everything to be stress free, from hair and make-up to putting the dress on, sorting the buttonholes and packing me into the car.  She single handed orchestrated my morning of preparation for my most special day.  Even my mum, who I thought was going to be very difficult, having said she didn’t want any make-up and hair done, said that she felt so relaxed while her make-up was done.  That has never happened before!!  The other element that is very important is Ema’s brilliant communication with the bride, not just on the day, but in all the preparation leading up to the day. We created my look together.  I felt I was listened to and in control, as one of my big fears was to not look the way I wanted to look on the day, and also knowing that the look suited me.  With Ema I didn’t have to worry about this, and for me this sort of communication was the key. I felt in safe hands, hands of the person who knows all the tricks and knows exactly what she is doing. I made my mind up in the first few minutes of my trial.

I knew Ema would be the right artist to my do my hair and make up for my wedding day the first time I met her at my house when she came around for my bridal trial. She was so friendly and made me feel at ease straight away. On the wedding morning, she arrived promptly with all her kit ready to make me and my bridal party look beautiful! Last year I needed a new head shot.  It was hot summer and as a professional gardener I had a skin tone that ranged from very white where my hat sits to weathered cheeks.  I needed Ema’s help to look good and she did a brilliant job of evening my completion without smothering me in makeup, so you could still see my freckles and I looked like a polished version of myself.
